One Stop Franchise has been named Emerging Franchisor of the Year at the prestigious 2015 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards.
Andrew King and Mark Everitt, from One Stop, were presented with the top accolade by award hosts Andy Brattesani, head of franchising at HSBC; Cathryn Hayes, head of business support at the bfa; and Sean Hammond, classified advertising manager for Express Newspapers; at a black-tie dinner held at the ICC, Birmingham.
Andrew King, One Stop’s franchise director, stated:
“It’s an honour to receive this award so soon into our franchising journey. Pioneering a completely new offering in the convenience store sector was not an easy undertaking, but we’ve now been acknowledged for our understanding of franchising as well as our retail skills. It’s a credit to our team, who have researched and developed our franchise model so successfully.”
Judges looked for a franchisor of five years or less who demonstrated a strong network of support to their growing network of franchisees and were impressed by One Stop’s incredibly fast growth, their effort to educate on the franchise model and their focus on franchisees’ success.
Cathryn Hayes, who chaired the judging panel, said:
”The impact of One Stop’s systems, branding and support on franchisees’ business performance has been impressive and shows that the focus on standards from the outset is paying dividends for both franchisees and franchisor.”
Andy Brattesani added: “One Stop’s careful research, planning and commitment to franchising ethics has provided impressive results. They’ve successfully pioneered a new offering within their sector and winning this award shows the dedication with which they’ve approached that challenge.”
